Taiwan Trademark Registration
Planning to expand your business into Taiwan? Secure your brand with professional local trademark representation. We assist overseas companies, brand owners and international IP law firms throughout the Taiwan trademark registration process.
Why Register Your Trademark in Taiwan?
Trademark rights are territorial. A trademark registered in another country does not automatically receive protection in Taiwan. A separate Taiwan application is generally required to secure local rights.
Protect Your Brand
Establish trademark rights for your brand name, logo and other distinctive signs in the Taiwan market.
Reduce Infringement Risks
A trademark registration can provide an important legal basis for addressing unauthorized use and confusingly similar marks.
Support Market Expansion
Protect your brand when working with Taiwanese distributors, business partners, retailers and e-commerce platforms.
Who Can Apply for a Taiwan Trademark?
Foreign individuals and companies may apply for trademark registration in Taiwan, subject to applicable legal requirements.
Applicants without a domicile or business establishment in Taiwan are required to appoint a qualified local trademark agent to handle trademark matters before the Taiwan Intellectual Property Office (TIPO).
You do not need to establish a company or maintain a physical office in Taiwan merely to apply for trademark registration.
